You will be an integral part of a successful team responsible for producing products and machined components in military, aerospace, oil/gas, and other applications. This position is responsible for setting up and operating various types and sizes of production machine tools in the machining of forgings or stock to customer requirements and specifications using a variety of cutting tools. The position must be able to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operations. Must also be capable of reading and understanding the Machine NC Code. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Receives machining instructions (MI's), dimensional drawings, same combination tool, 1st piece, inspection sheets, permanent serial cards, test rg cards, serial sheets, load sheets and load summary sheets, setup charts, manufacturing instruction sheets, instructions from department supervision indicating such info as part and operation number is to be performed.</li><li>Sets up production machine units of various types and sizes by inserting necessary tooling, fixtures, etc., into the machine by referring to setup charts, manufacturing instruction sheets, and/or from experience and supervisor guidance at times.</li><li>Reads and interprets dimensions drawings, sketches, tool setup charts, and manufacturing instructions in performing required machining operations and setups. Uses TSC and operational drawings to determine required dimensions, travels, and tolerance to be maintained.</li><li>Selects, inserts, and fastens necessary tooling such as turning, drilling, boring, facing, grooving tools, etc. to hex and turret tool posts required for the various machining operations. Applies coolant lubricant and changes worn or damaged tools as required. CNC machines also use TSC but must also set offsets. Manual uses touch-off to attain sizes required. Resets offsets if a change of tooling (bar, etc.) is done or to fine-tune for free cutting and finishes required. LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU Your profile The primary purpose of this position is to set up and operate manual and CNC (Complex Numeric Control) horizontal milling machines, manual lathes, and CNC lathes in order to perform precise operations on a variety of parts and components. Tools used include but are not limited to various Horizontal boring mills and associated equipment such as: milling cutters, boring bars and heads, saw, inside and outside micrometers, vernier gauges, dial indicators, wrenches, blocks, jacks, readouts and P.C., cranes, etc. Job duties require knowledge in the use of shop mathematics, together with reading complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, various types of precision measuring instruments and/or the training generally applicable in a particular or specialized occupation. Prefer 5-7 years applied trades training, such as use of blueprints, CNC equipment, G &amp; M code, manual machining etc. Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions. CNC Horizontal Machinist - Large Generator Rotors (2nd Shift, Mon - Fri, 4:00pm - 12:00am)

We are seeking a full-time CNC Router Operator for our Glass Fabrication Factory. Duties include the set-up, operation, and maintenance of CNC machinery. CNC operators utilize CNC machinery to complete custom projects per specified drawings, ensuring the scope of work is completed on time, on budget with a focus on excellent quality while maintaining a safe working environment. Job Duties: <ul><li>Interpret fabrication drawings, bill of materials and work manuals.</li><li>Set up tools per specified programming and cutting requirements</li><li>Adjust machine settings for tool compensations and material types.</li><li>Check completed parts for quality of cut and critical dimensions.</li><li>Identify concerns or problems with current design or manufacturing process.</li><li>Perform daily, and weekly machine PMs.</li></ul>Job Qualifications: <ul><li>3-5 years experience using a CNC Router in a Glass factory.</li><li>Ability to set up and change tools.</li><li>Basic knowledge of G-CODE</li><li>Ability to read and understand shop drawings.</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and provide quality workmanship.</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment.</li></ul>Required physical strength: <ul><li>Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequently.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
