Job Overview

Olson Custom Designs is seeking elite CNC Programmers specializing in 5-Axis milling and/or multi-axis turning centers. This role is for programmers who thrive on complex geometries, tight tolerances, and high-stakes work supporting aerospace, defense, and life-saving medical devices.

This is not routine production programming — this is precision manufacturing where failure is not an option.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program complex 5-axis mill and multi-axis turning operations
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for extremely tight tolerances
  • Utilize advanced CAM software and G-code programming
  • Collaborate with Quality to meet AS9100D & ISO 13485 requirements
  • Program complex, non-traditional geometries
  • Troubleshoot and refine programs to ensure first-article success
  • Support production with continuous improvement and program optimization

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience
  • Proven experience with 5-axis mills and/or multi-axis turning centers
  • Strong CAM software proficiency and G-code knowledge
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings and GD&T
  • Experience working in tight-tolerance environments

Preferred

  • Aerospace or medical device manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with AS9100D and ISO 13485 standards
