The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate manual mills, manual lathes, and conversational CNC equipment
- Machine custom fixtures, tooling, and precision test parts
- Run high-mix, low-volume jobs and one-off builds
- Load, adjust, and run conversational CNC programs
- Select tooling, establish offsets, and manage setups independently
- Perform in-process and basic first-article inspection
- Assist with machine, tooling, and equipment repair or redesign projects
This is hands-on machining work where every job is different.

Machines
- 3-axis CNC mills
- 2.5-axis CNC mill conversions
- CNC lathes (up to Ø16″)
- Manual mills and manual lathes (up to Ø18″)
Controls
- Conversational CNC controls
CAD / Design
- SolidWorks (design-to-manufacture support)
Inspection Tools
- Standard shop measurement tools for precision machining

What We’re Looking For
Required
- 1–2+ years of machining experience
- Experience with manual machining and/or conversational CNC
- Ability to read blueprints and work to specification
- Comfortable performing setups, offsets, and tool changes
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Preferred (Not Required)
- Tool & die or fixture-building experience
- CNC mill or lathe setup experience
- Exposure to repair, redesign, or reverse-engineering work
