Position: CNC Senior Programmer Reporting Line: Machine Shop Manager Department: Manufacturing Location: Houston, TX Position Summary: The primary responsibilities of the CNC Senior Programmer are to write and optimize CNC programs to create complex parts on CNC machines. CNC Machinist

SUMMARY <ul><li>CNC Programming / setup and operation of five-axis CNC Lathes, Swiss machines, and 9 Axis Doosan Mill-Turn </li><li>Read blueprints and perform first article inspection </li><li>Perform multiple daily setups including adjusting tool lengths and offsets as necessary </li><li>Assemble and preset tooling for subsequent operations during automated cycles to reduce machine downtime </li><li>Perform machining of stainless steel, brass, and aluminum </li><li>Perform basic math, geometry, and trigonometry as required </li><li>Perform Five-axis programming and utilize Esprit Cam software </li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li>HSD/GED required; apprenticeship or equivalent plus a 2-year technical school degree/certificate preferred </li><li>A minimum of 5 years' experience as a setup operator in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Use of some advanced shop mathematics, formulas </li><li>CNC Programming experience, 5 Axis programming </li><li>Familiar with Esprit Cam Software for generating CNC programs </li><li>Experience with GD&amp;T </li><li>Experience with Quality related issues and the ability to troubleshoot </li><li>Use of adjustable measuring instruments and advanced quality control equipment. </li><li>Knowledge in blueprint reading of complicated drawings, specifications and charts/table </li></ul>
