Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Performing Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of mechanical components.</li><li>Troubleshooting and Diagnosing Issues: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.</li><li>Parts and Inventory Management: Maintaining department parts and inventory stock for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.</li><li>Following Maintenance Schedules: Adhering to planned maintenance schedules to ensure timely servicing of machinery and equipment, reducing the risk of unexpected downtime.</li><li>Documenting Maintenance Activities: Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks, in accordance with company procedures.</li></ul>Within your first 30 days: <ul><li>Complete orientation and training on company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.</li><li>Familiarize yourself with the CNC machines and production processes used in our facility.</li><li>Shadow experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience in CNC maintenance and repair.</li><li>Begin performing routine maintenance tasks under supervision and guidance.</li><li>Establish rapport with team members and key stakeholders in production and engineering departments.</li></ul> Within 60 days: <ul><li>Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting common CNC equipment issues independently.</li><li>Execute preventive maintenance procedures according to the maintenance schedule.</li><li>Document maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).</li><li>Identify opportunities for improvement in machine performance or maintenance processes.</li><li>Assist in implementing improvements or modifications to CNC equipment in collaboration with engineering teams.</li></ul> Within 90 days to one year: <ul><li>Take ownership of CNC maintenance activities and contribute to minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment reliability.</li><li>Proactively identify and address potential maintenance issues before they escalate.</li><li>Train and mentor junior technicians or new hires in CNC maintenance techniques and best practices.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives in machine performance, efficiency, and safety.</li><li>Maintain a high level of proficiency and stay updated on new technologies or advancements in CNC machining and maintenance practices.</li></ul> Position Requirements <ul><li>Completion of high school education or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum of two years' experience in troubleshooting and repairing of CNC mills, lathes, and other manufacturing equipment.</li><li>Familiarity with repairing Wire and Sinker Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Makino, Deckel Maho Gildemeister (DMG), Laser and Swiss screw machines.</li><li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.</li><li>Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer skills.</li><li>Understanding machine alarm codes and utilization machine diagnostics for troubleshooting.</li><li>Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.</li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.</li></ul> Preferred <ul><li>Completed technical or vocational school and obtained a certificate.</li><li>Knowledge and experience with test equipment and meters, such as Digital Multimeters (DMM's), Amp Probes, Meggers, and Oscilloscope.</li><li>Skilled in troubleshooting Nitrogen and Oxygen generators and compressors.</li><li>Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Laser, and Swiss screw equipment.</li><li>Knowledge in Fanuc, Okuma, and Siemens controls.</li><li>Reliable team member with the willingness and the drive to succeed within the team.</li><li>Motivated, self-starter, and a proactive team player.</li></ul> Benefits <ul><li>Competitive compensation range: $29.50 - $34.50 / hour (California).</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package.</li><li>Training and mentorship opportunities.</li><li>On-campus wellness activities.</li><li>Education reimbursement program.</li><li>401(k) program with discretionary employer match.</li><li>Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule.</li></ul> Please note that the compensation range may be adjusted in the future, and bonus and incentive compensation plans may apply.
