Who We Are
At General Plastics & Composites (GP&C), we engineer and manufacture advanced composite solutions for industries where performance, reliability, and precision matter. From early-stage concept development to fully qualified production assemblies, we deliver mission-critical components built to perform in demanding environments.
What sets GP&C apart is full vertical integration. We don’t just machine parts — we formulate our own proprietary materials, engineer the processes, machine and mold components in-house, assemble them, and validate performance. This end-to-end control reduces risk, improves quality, and accelerates time to production.
Our work supports customers who require strength, consistency, and tight tolerances, and our teams take pride in delivering products that meet those expectations every day.
What We Do
Engineered Solutions (Concept to Commercialization)
We engage early with customers to define requirements, performance targets, and risk factors. Our engineering teams select materials, design manufacturing processes, validate prototypes, and ensure products are production-ready before scale-up.
Composite Manufacturing
GP&C specializes in advanced composite manufacturing, including:
- Filament winding
- Resin transfer molding (RTM)
- Prepreg lay-up
These capabilities allow us to produce lightweight, structurally efficient components that meet strict mechanical and environmental requirements.
Precision Machining & Molding
Our in-house machining and molding operations deliver tight-tolerance parts across complex geometries, supported by advanced automation and large-format capacity.
Machining Capabilities
- 95 CNC machine tools (56 lathes, 39 mills, robotic cells)
- Turning up to 20″ diameter
- Large-format milling with 200″ X-axis travel
- Tolerances tighter than ±.001″ on metals, composites, and hybrids
- Proprietary and standard threading (acme, buttress, round profiles)
- Specialized wire-groove machining
- Complex 5-axis CNC milling
- 5-axis waterjet cutting up to 94,000 PSI
Molding Capabilities
- In-house rubber compounding (40+ proprietary compounds)
- Compression, transfer, and injection molding
- 25 presses with 50–575 tons of variable tonnage
- Precision molding to ±.005″
- Structural bonding and co-molding of composites, metals, and elastomers
Advanced Bonding & Assembly
We integrate composite, metal, and molded components into fully qualified assemblies, handling bonding, fastening, wiring, testing, and validation internally. This turnkey approach minimizes vendor handoffs and ensures consistency from fabrication through final delivery.
Our Culture: Precision in Every Fiber
At GP&C, precision isn’t just technical — it’s cultural.
Our teams operate with a shared commitment to integrity, accountability, and collaboration. We work side by side across engineering, machining, composites, quality, and assembly to solve problems quickly and deliver reliable results.
