The individual performs visual and dimensional inspection on parts to determine their accuracy to parts specifications. <p>💼 Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Flexible Schedule<br>💰 Pay: <strong>$30.00 – $40.00/hour</strong> + Overtime Eligible<br>🎁 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Paid Holidays</p><h2>About the Role</h2><p>Made Cascade is hiring a <strong>Sheet Metal Technician</strong> to run <strong>CNC press brakes and laser cutting equipment</strong> in both <strong>prototype/R&amp;D</strong> and <strong>production</strong> settings. You’ll handle true <strong>job-shop sheet metal work</strong>—from programming and forming to finishing and packaging—while juggling a mix of one-off prototypes and recurring production orders.</p><p>Materials include <strong>mild steel, stainless, and aluminum</strong>, with occasional deliveries to local clients in the greater Seattle area.</p><h2>What You’ll Do</h2><ul><li>Operate <strong>CNC laser</strong> and <strong>CNC press brake</strong> for prototyping and production</li><li><strong>Program parts at the console</strong>, set up tooling, and verify first articles</li><li>Run multiple machines/jobs while maintaining quality and throughput</li><li>Read/interpret drawings and create/revise shop documentation</li><li>Perform <strong>deburring, polishing, cleaning</strong>, and prep for finishing/packaging</li><li>Install hardware/fasteners (PEM/standoffs, etc.)</li><li>Perform <strong>QC/dimensional inspections</strong> and maintain tolerances</li><li>Collaborate with engineering on <strong>R&amp;D prototypes</strong>; offer design feedback</li><li>Assist teammates on other shop projects during downtime</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Trade school training in sheet metal fabrication <strong>or</strong> equivalent hands-on experience</li><li>Solid math and print-reading skills; comfortable programming at the machine</li><li>Experience with <strong>sheet metal fabrication</strong>, fastener installation, and shop practices</li></ul><p><strong>Nice-to-Have:</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with <strong>Amada press brakes</strong> and <strong>Laguna laser cutters</strong></li><li>MIG/TIG welding and advanced fabrication skills</li></ul><h2>Physical Requirements</h2><ul><li>Stand/sit for extended periods; use required PPE</li><li>Lift/move <strong>10–50 lbs</strong> regularly; operate pallet jack/forklift</li><li>Comfortable with hand/power tools and assisting in facility projects</li></ul><h2>Benefits &amp; Perks</h2><ul><li><strong>$30 – $40/hr</strong> + overtime pay eligibility</li><li>Flexible work schedule (occasional remote work possible)</li><li>Comprehensive benefits: subsidized medical, dental, vision</li><li>Company 401(k) plan</li><li>14 days PTO (7 vacation + 7 sick)</li><li>8 paid holidays</li><li>After-hours access to the R&amp;D shop for personal projects</li></ul><h2>About Made Cascade</h2><p>Made Cascade is a <strong>Seattle-based design and manufacturing company</strong> that blends <strong>engineering, CAD design, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and rapid prototyping</strong> under one roof.
