Why this job is worth considering
Skyway Precision needs a CMM programmer who can also run the machine. You will write and maintain CMM programs for the quality department and support Skyway's Michigan manufacturing facilities, working with engineering and sales on the most efficient way to measure each part.

What you'll be doing
- Program CMMs in PC-DMIS, either online at the machine or offline

- Work with engineering to set inspection criteria for each operation so parts meet customer specifications
- Maintain CMM program files on the master network drive
- Work with CMM operators on part setup, fixturing and measuring practices
- Troubleshoot metrology and manufacturing issues, and help train other CMM staff
Software and inspection equipment
PC-DMIS is the CMM software used at Skyway. You will also use standard inspection tools such as calipers, height gages and optical comparators, along with the CMMs.
