Recent investments in robotics, presetters, and CMM technology are driving our next stage of growth — and we’re building a team to match the level of our equipment.<h3>About the Role</h3>We are seeking a CNC Department Lead / Advanced CNC Machinist who sets the pace for quality, efficiency, and problem solving on the shop floor. This person will lead day-to-day CNC operations, perform complex setups, and coach machinists in a modern, automated machining environment.If you’re ready to go beyond “running parts” and instead lead a next-generation CNC department, this is the opportunity for you.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead and coordinate daily CNC machining operations across assigned machines and product families</li><li>Set up and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC lathes and INDEX Swiss machines from blueprints and job travelers</li><li>Serve as the go-to resource for tooling, offsets, and process troubleshooting</li><li>Collaborate with Engineering to optimize setups, standardize tooling, and improve cycle times</li><li>Train and mentor CNC machinists and operators on setup, operation, and inspection techniques</li><li>Utilize automation and robotics (bar feeders, robots, automation cells) to maximize spindle uptime</li><li>Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and automated gaging</li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and shop documentation</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and throughput</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>5+ years of CNC machining experience, including advanced setups and troubleshooting</li><li>Proven blueprint reading and GD&amp;T interpretation skills</li><li>Prior leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred</li><li>Proficient with cutting tools, holders, tool grades, and improving tool life</li><li>Familiarity with automated inspection and gaging systems</li><li>Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements</li><li>CAD/CAM programming or editing experience preferred</li><li>Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting ability</li><li>High school diploma required; technical/trade certification preferred</li><li>Willingness to work overtime and complete pre-employment screening</li></ul><h3>Shift Options &amp; Pay</h3>DW Products offers flexible schedules and competitive pay based on experience and shift:<ul><li>1st Shift (Full-Time): Mon–Thurs, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM</li><li>2nd Shift (Full-Time): Mon–Thurs, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Second-Shift Premium)</li><li>1st Shift (Part-Time): Fri–Sun, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Weekend Premium)</li><li>2nd Shift (Part-Time): Fri–Sun, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Weekend + Second-Shift Premiums)</li></ul>💰 Pay: Up to $37.00/hour, depending on experience and shift 🕓 Hours: 40–44 per week (full-time)<h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance</li><li>401(k) &amp; Pension Plan</li><li>Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance</li><li>Paid Vacation, Holidays, and Personal Days</li><li>Stable, long-term career opportunities in a growing CNC shop</li></ul><h3>Why DW Products?</h3>DW Products isn’t just another job shop — we’re a 75-year-old manufacturer entering a new era of CNC automation, robotics, and advanced machining.
