This role exists to support increased production demand and machining capacity at Ichor Systems’ Osakis facility.

In this position, you’ll play a key role in producing precision components for high-tech industries, with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and process reliability.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal milling machines
• Load, run, and make edits to CNC programs at the machine
• Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding setups
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets
• Hold tolerances and ensure part quality throughout production
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Collaborate with engineering, programming, and production teams
• Train junior machinists and operators on standard processes

You’ll work with equipment such as:

• Machines: CNC Horizontal Milling Centers
• Controls: Fanuc (typical environment)
• Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, depth mics, comparators, profilometers, CMM
• Quality Systems: GD&T, SPC

Materials You’ll Work With

• Aluminum
• Stainless Steel
• Alloy Steel

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience with CNC milling (horizontal preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Strong setup, tooling, and offset knowledge
• Comfortable inspecting parts and holding tolerances
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with horizontal machining centers
• Exposure to CMM and advanced inspection tools
• Ability to train or mentor junior machinists
• 2-year machining degree

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Pay Range: $19.09 – $32.45/hr (DOE)
Pay Notes: Weekend shift differential included
