This role exists to support ongoing production demand and machining capacity at Ichor Systems’ Sauk Rapids facility.

In this position, you’ll play a key role in producing high-precision components for advanced manufacturing applications, with a strong focus on quality, repeatability, and process ownership.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, and related equipment)
• Load, run, and edit CNC programs at the machine as needed
• Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding setups
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets
• Hold tolerances and ensure consistent part quality
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Collaborate with engineering, programming, and production teams
• Train junior machinists and support shop floor operations

Machines, Controls & Software

You’ll work with equipment such as:

• Machines: CNC mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders
• Controls: Fanuc-type environments (typical)
• Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, depth mics, comparators, profilometers, CMM
• Quality Systems: GD&T, SPC

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience with CNC mills and/or lathes
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Strong setup, tooling, and offset knowledge
• Comfortable inspecting parts and holding tolerances
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with multi-machine setups
• Ability to train or mentor junior machinists
• Advanced troubleshooting experience
• 2-year machining or technical degree

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Pay Range: $19.09 – $32.45/hr (DOE)
Pay Notes: Shift differential available for overnight work
