This role is essential to ensuring that incoming materials, in-process components, and finished CNC-machined parts meet engineering requirements, customer standards, and AS9100/ITAR compliance.</p><p>You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality leadership to identify issues, maintain traceability, support NCRs/CAPA actions, and uphold Titan’s reputation for precision, reliability, and world-class manufacturing quality.</p><h1><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h1><h2><strong>Incoming, In-Process &amp; Final Inspection</strong></h2><ul><li>Perform inspection of incoming materials using visual, dimensional, and documentation checks.</li><li>Conduct in-process inspections to verify machining accuracy and part conformity.</li><li>Provide clear, solution-oriented feedback to machinists and operators.</li><li>Approve finished components by confirming specifications and performing required measurement tests.</li><li>Quarantine, tag, and process nonconforming material promptly and accurately.</li></ul><h2><strong>Documentation &amp; Reporting</strong></h2><ul><li>Record inspection results in reports, logs, and ERP systems with high accuracy.</li><li>Create Nonconforming Product Reports (NCRs) as required.</li><li>Maintain calibration documentation, traceability records, and inspection files.</li><li>Ensure all documentation meets AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.</li></ul><h2><strong>Root Cause Support &amp; Quality Collaboration</strong></h2><ul><li>Assist in identifying causes of defects, deviations, and rework.</li><li>Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.</li><li>Collaborate with Production and Engineering to support issue resolution and process improvements.</li></ul><h2><strong>Measurement Equipment Use &amp; Care</strong></h2><ul><li>Use precision instruments including:<ul><li>Calipers</li><li>Micrometers</li><li>Height gauges</li><li>Bore/pin gauges</li><li>Optical comparator</li><li>CMM (if applicable)</li></ul></li><li>Maintain measurement tools by following calibration procedures and proper operating methods.</li></ul><h2><strong>Safety &amp; Compliance</strong></h2><ul><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and organized inspection environment.</li><li>Follow Titan safety standards, PPE requirements, and ITAR regulations.</li><li>Comply with AS9100 quality procedures and work instructions.</li></ul><h2><strong>Other Duties</strong></h2><ul><li>Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned to support production and customer requirements.</li></ul><h1><strong>Qualifications</strong></h1><ul><li>High school diploma required; technical degree preferred.</li><li><strong>1–2 years of experience</strong> in quality control, inspection, or precision manufacturing.</li><li>Experience in <strong>aerospace, defense, or CNC machining environments</strong> strongly preferred.</li><li>Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret <strong>GD&amp;T</strong>.</li><li>Proficiency with precision measurement tools (gauges, calipers, micrometers, pins, comparators).</li><li>Strong math skills: fractions, decimals, conversions, tolerancing.</li><li>Basic ERP/computer proficiency.</li><li>High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.</li></ul><h1><strong>Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment</strong></h1><ul><li>Standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs (with reasonable accommodation).</li><li>Exposure to machining noise, coolant, oils, adhesives, and general shop environments.</li><li>Use of PPE when handling sharp or heavy components.</li><li>Must comply with ITAR access and facility safety requirements.</li></ul><h1><strong>Why Join Titan Advanced Manufacturing</strong></h1><p>Quality is the backbone of Titan’s reputation.
