π About Fusion Life Sciences Technologies LLC
Fusion Life Sciences Technologies LLC is a staffing and workforce-solutions firm that places engineers and technical professionals into regulated, innovation-driven industries β medical device, pharmaceutical and bulk drug manufacturing, biotechnology, aerospace, and automotive and contract manufacturing. Rather than working as outsourced contractors, professionals placed by Fusion remain on Fusion's own W2 payroll while working on-site at client operations, giving candidates direct-employee status and continuity even as the client assignment itself may change over time.
Fusion has placed hundreds of engineers into aerospace, medical device, bulk drug manufacturing, electrical engineering, hardware, packaging, and R&D roles, and its bench extends into quality systems and compliance, regulatory affairs, clinical data management, medical writing, and drug safety/pharmacovigilance work. The firm also supports manufacturing process setup and Lean implementation for its clients, and works with organizations located worldwide. Its regulatory depth is a real differentiator: teams work inside the framework of 21 CFR Part 820, ISO standards, GAMP, and USP guidelines, and have supported clients through FDA findings, 483 responses, and Consent Decree remediation.
Fusion currently has four active openings on hireCNC, spanning medical-device manufacturing, quality/FDA remediation, and GMP production roles across Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
π Why you'll like working here
You're hired as a direct Fusion employee, not a 1099 contractor β you get W2 status and continuity even as assignments evolve. Several current openings are hands-on, shop-floor or production-floor roles: developing and refining CNC programs for complex, low-volume/high-mix 5-axis work, leading FDA remediation and CAPA work on the quality side, or running GMP production equipment β not desk jobs reviewing work from a distance. It's a strong fit for someone who wants genuine ownership over process development and to see the impact of their work in measurable cost, quality, and efficiency results. Because Fusion specializes in regulated industries β medical device, pharma, biotech β its placements come with the added confidence of a staffing partner that understands FDA, ISO, and GAMP requirements rather than treating them as someone else's problem.
βοΈ What you'll be working on
- Develop complete CNC programs for complex multi-axis milling and lathe applications, including low-volume/high-mix 5-axis programs for complex medical device components
- Use CAM software such as SolidCAM or Mastercam to drive production process design, tooling strategy, and machining optimization
- Support fixture design, GD&T interpretation, and troubleshooting of complex machining processes
- Develop and implement process improvements to raise productivity, quality, cycle time, and throughput
- Investigate manufacturing deviations and nonconformances, perform Root Cause Analysis, and drive CAPA activities through closure
- Support FDA remediation activities within regulated medical-device manufacturing environments
- Operate production equipment, resolve basic equipment faults via HMI screens, and follow GMP/GDP and cleanroom standards on the production floor
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, quality staff, and production supervisors to resolve production problems
β Shop highlights
- W2 direct employment for placed professionals β not 1099 contract work
- Track record placing hundreds of engineers in aerospace, medical device, bulk drug manufacturing, electrical engineering, hardware, packaging, and R&D roles
- Deep regulatory bench: FDA findings/483 response and Consent Decree remediation experience
- Broad industry reach across medical device, pharma, biotech, aerospace, and automotive manufacturing
- Four active openings across three states as of this posting
- Clients located worldwide
π οΈ Machines & technology
These openings are client placements, so the equipment below reflects each host site's floor, not equipment Fusion itself owns.
- CNC Mills: 4/5-axis milling and router equipment
- CAM Software: SolidCAM, Mastercam (Unigraphics/NX a plus)
- Production/GMP Equipment: Automated hoppers and HMI-controlled production equipment in cleanroom/GMP environments
π Quality & inspection
Fusion's placements operate inside the compliance framework each client site requires: 21 CFR Part 820, ISO standards, GAMP, and USP guidelines. Fusion's own bench includes quality-system establishment support, internal audits, and experience helping clients resolve FDA findings, 483 responses, and Consent Decree remediation β including current openings built specifically around FDA remediation, deviation investigation, RCA, and CAPA work.
