Reports to: General ManagerWhy work at Tee Enterprises?<ul><li>Climate controlled shop</li><li>Family-oriented company with a positive culture</li><li>Opportunity for career growth</li><li>Strong benefits package</li><li>Investing in new machinery</li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>$25-$35/hour</li></ul>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Confirm that all safety devices are in place and operational.</li><li>Maintain log of preventive maintenance on a daily/weekly schedule according to manufacturer recommendations.</li><li>Select, position, and align tooling in machine tool holder to confirm they are secured.</li><li>Sharpen and maintain tooling for peak performance; notify the supervisor of worn or broken tooling.</li><li>Operate Bridgeport style manual machines, 2-3 axis with Proto-Trak controls</li><li>Adjust to set specified pressure and tool clearance.</li><li>Set cut dimensions using controls from print details.</li><li>Position work piece against stops securely.</li><li>Measure work-piece dimensions throughout the operation to assure quality and repeatability.</li><li>Recommend tooling to perform the job more efficiently.</li><li>Startup, operate and shut down manual milling machines following established procedures and all manufacturer’s safety requirements.</li><li>Alert supervisor of any problems and suggest changes that will allow jobs to run more efficiently.</li><li>Observe tool and machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunction.</li><li>Maintain tooling inventory including consumables.</li><li>Keep work area neat and orderly, including clean-up of metal chips.</li><li>Maintain material storage and cutting fluid as required.</li><li>Manage workflow and materials through the machine shop.</li><li>Notify the supervisor of worn or broken tooling.</li><li>Miscellaneous duties as assigned to help Tee Enterprises achieve its goals.</li></ul>Inspection Requirements:<ul><li>Verify quantity, material type and thickness.</li><li>Check for any material defects or damage.</li><li>Verify correct orientation of all pieces.</li><li>Check all size dimensions on first piece to verify correct tooling setup.</li></ul>Physical Demands/ Work Conditions:<ul><li>The operator stands/sits for 8-10 hours per day with, walking, stooping, and reaching, as well as frequently lifting manually and/or moving material up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Typical manufacturing environment, subject to dust, metal shavings, machinery oil, and electrical hazards.</li><li>Frequently working with machinery that has pinch points and rotating parts.</li></ul>Required Personal Protective Equipment:<ul><li>Safety glasses.</li><li>Gloves when handling sharp material.</li><li>Earplugs when machinery is operating if required.</li><li>Safety shoes</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications/Technical Knowledge Required:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, technical school/certificate and or 3-5 years’ experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li><li>Understand Bill of Materials (BOM).</li><li>Identify material types.</li><li>Proficient in Proto Trak machine programming.</li><li>Proficient in Machine tool setup.</li><li>Read job specifications to determine adjustments.</li><li>Read tape measure, dial caliper, depth gauge, micrometer, dial indicator, and other various measuring instruments.</li><li>Ability to convert decimals to fractions when working with work orders/blueprints.</li><li>Ability to operate the forklift/pallet jack.</li></ul>This job description is not intended to be and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of all the responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with the position. As an experienced CNC Machinist with 5 years in the field, you’ll play a vital role in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Machines.&nbsp; You will also perform advanced setup operations; and adjust, program and operate numerically controlled machine tools to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work.&nbsp; May set up machines for and instruct other operators.
