TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED <ul><li>Seeking a highly motivated, skilled, experienced CNC VMC, HMC and or lathe / VTL machinists</li><li>Vocational education and/or 5-10 years of experience in a Job Shop, non-production environment preferred</li></ul> ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS <ul><li>Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&amp;T).</li><li>Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock.</li><li>Generates CNC programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.</li><li>Set-up of CNC machines by installing and adjusting, tools, attachments, collets, vices, stops, and stock pushers; tramming heads.</li><li>Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.</li><li>Knowledge and use of lifting devices, overhead cranes, and fork-lift trucks.</li><li>Verifies settings and produces quality parts by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards and Ahaus standards.</li><li>Maintains specifications by performing drilling, milling, grooving, cutting and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.</li><li>Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.</li><li>Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.</li><li>Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.</li><li>Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.</li><li>Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.</li><li>Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</li><li>Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Tooling, Coordination, Attention to Detail, Judgment</li><li>Other duties may be assigned.</li></ul> WORKING CONDITIONS Machinists may be subject to the following: <ul><li>High noise levels from machinery</li><li>Fumes, dust, vapors, mist</li><li>Coolants, oils, cutting fluids, and other chemicals</li></ul> You should be proficient in: <ul><li>G-Code </li><li>Manual Machining Skills</li><li>CAD/CAM Software</li></ul> Machines &amp; technologies you'll use: <ul><li>CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Makino)</li><li>CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Haas)</li><li>CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Mazak)</li><li>Horizontal Machining Center (3-4 axis) (Okuma, Makino)</li><li>Vertical Lathe (Toshiba)</li></ul> Salary info: $25 - $30 / hr
