This role sits at the center of how new work comes into the shop and gets built: you'll estimate and quote new jobs from RFQs, then carry those jobs through contract review, quality planning, and job release once they're won. What you'll be doing

• Prepare estimates and quote new jobs for RFQs using VISUAL Manufacturing, obtaining material, subcontract, and sublet quotations as needed
• Conduct contract review of technical requirements against the quotation and coordinate order acknowledgment with the CFT Leader
• Complete quality planning for projects and maintain part hierarchy and drawing/revision documentation
• Provide technical support for manufacturing, materials, and subcontract/sublet contracting
• Complete disposition, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for non-conformances
• Create fixture and process drawings as necessary, and review and disposition Engineering Change Requests
• Conduct job release and post-job review meetings, and participate in performance improvement activities with manufacturing personnel
• Review customer change requests, evaluate cost and delivery impact, and notify Sales and incorporate changes as necessary
• Maintain the electronic job folder

What we're looking for

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Prior engineering experience developing new manufacturing processes for new product launches
• Strong computer literacy along with solid written, verbal, and project management skills

Preferred

• Strong background in machining, blueprint reading, and GD&T
• 3D modeling experience

Pay, benefits and schedule

$80,000–$110,000 per year, DOE, plus bonus. Full-time, on-site in Indianapolis.

Working conditions

This role is based in a general shop environment and may involve frequent exposure to high noise levels, physical hazards from moving equipment, fumes, dust and mist, skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids, and welding flash. The role requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and bending, with occasional lifting up to 20 lbs and frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.
