You will ensure quality and productivity by resolving machine issues and optimizing performance throughout each shift.<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3>Machine Operation:<ul><li>Set up and operate CNC hob and related machinery based on work orders and specifications</li><li>Load/unload parts and install appropriate tooling, chucking devices, and jaws</li><li>Adjust machine controls and offsets for accurate dimensions and tolerances</li><li>Monitor tooling conditions and replace worn tools as necessary</li></ul>Quality Control:<ul><li>Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specification sheets</li><li>Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet exact requirements</li><li>Maintain detailed records and comply with all quality and ISO standards</li><li>Complete Schafer’s internal quality certification for assigned tasks</li></ul>Equipment Maintenance &amp; Troubleshooting:<ul><li>Conduct preventative maintenance and resolve machine malfunctions</li><li>Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve machining problems</li><li>Recommend improvements for tooling and productivity</li></ul>Support for Operational Excellence:<ul><li>Reduce machine downtime through efficient setups and preparation</li><li>Assist with training, communication between shifts, and continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with the 6S program</li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Two or more years of experience in a CNC machining role preferred</li><li>Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents and blueprints</li><li>Comfortable using precision measuring tools and computer systems</li><li>Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods</li><li>Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)</li><li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States</li></ul><h3>Working Environment:</h3><ul><li>Air-conditioned and heated manufacturing facility</li><li>Exposure to standard industrial conditions such as noise, dust, fumes, oils, and cleaning agents</li><li>On-site role performed 100% of the time unless otherwise directed by a supervisor</li></ul>Equal Opportunity EmployerSchafer Industries is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
