Pace Engineering, Inc. is a manufacturer of machined components for the earthmoving, mining, and construction industries located in Willoughby, OH. We are seeking CNC Lathe Setup Machinists for all shifts. CNC Lathe Setup Machinist tasks include:<ul><li>Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.</li><li>Prepares work assignment by organizing tools, tool holders, supplies, and materials.</li><li>Sets-up CNC lathe for close tolerance machining by studying drawing, downloading computerized instructions, reading M and G code, and makes minor modifications to program to ensure tolerances are achieved.</li><li>Loads raw material slugs and operates CNC lathe to machine parts.</li><li>Monitors CNC lathe to ensure proper operation to machine defect-free parts.</li><li>Completes first piece inspection and obtains Inspector signoff.</li><li>Performs in-process part inspection by using calipers, mics, snap gages, and other precision measuring instruments.</li><li>Changes CNC lathe’s tools and inserts as necessary to ensure throughput and quality.</li><li>Enters daily production job results into data collection.</li><li>Documents work by signing-off on job router.</li><li>Cooperatively engages, instructs, and coaches other machinists as necessary throughout the day.
