As our CNC Machinist, you will work with a team dedicated to our mission and who take pride in the quality we deliver to the fly fishing world.As the CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the ( this is not an all-inclusive job duty list):<ul><li>Machine high precision projects as well as reoccurring production jobs with the same attention to detail</li><li>Understand and implement appropriate steps to reach production demands</li><li>Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, verbal instructions, and models</li><li>Set up, operate, and prove-out programs on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to CNC mill, CNC lathe, manual mill/lathe and all other typical machine shop equipment</li><li>Use various measuring tools to perform first article and in process inspections (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.)</li><li>Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.</li><li>Complete basic edits/off-sets to maintain component accuracy, quality, and productivity.</li><li>Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.</li><li>Deburr and clean parts as required.</li><li>Operate basic shop equipment (band saw, grinders, etc.)</li><li>Modify G-Code programs and adjust offsets as required to meet product conformity.</li><li>Troubleshoot operating errors; partner with Engineering and maintenance to resolve issues.</li><li>Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency and production</li><li>Program machines according to specs and/ or update processes launched.</li><li>Work with the engineering team during new project launches, troubleshooting of product development and/or resolving machine function issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Work with Quality Assurance and redefine process were guided to ensure quality productions guidelines are met</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Expectations:<ul><li>Ability to run multi-axis and multi-tasking programs</li><li>Experience with wide variety of CNC machining, including MorIand Multis machinery</li><li>Proficiency with typical precision measurement tools such as dial indicators, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other common inspection tools</li><li>Basic knowledge of cutting tools, as well as speeds and feeds for each, regardless of material type</li><li>Desire to work collaboratively across several teams as needed to complete projects requiring multiple disciplines</li><li>Strong communication skills and a desire to help achieve company goals in a dynamic and challenging environment</li><li>Knowledge of work order-based processing (paper or digital copies) as directed by ERP software systems (Netsuite, Infor).</li><li>Computer literacy in common software suites such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite Apps and adequately learn additional software programs as necessary to individual responsibilities.</li><li>Communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues, management, engineers, and others.</li><li>Lift and handle up to 50lbs infrequently.</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li><li>2+ years of professional experience&nbsp;</li><li>2+ years of professional experience reading G-code and programming CNC machines, preferred</li><li>Available to work all required shift hours and be available to work overtime, as needed</li><li>Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) unassisted</li><li>Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small openings and climbing hand over hand</li><li>Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise</li></ul>Job Classification:&nbsp;Hourly, Non-Exempt, Full timeWage Range:&nbsp;$18.00-$32.00, based on experienceBase Work Schedule:&nbsp;&nbsp;Monday - Friday Hours.
