🏭 About Kalman Manufacturing

Kalman Manufacturing is a family-owned precision manufacturer located in Morgan Hill, California, serving customers throughout Silicon Valley and beyond.

With more than 38 years in business, Kalman has grown into a 42,000-square-foot manufacturing operation equipped with more than 40 CNC machines. The company specializes in complex precision machining, supporting industries including medical device, aerospace, instrumentation and automotive.

For machinists, this means exposure to much more than basic production work. Kalman’s capabilities span CNC milling, turning, 4-axis and 5-axis machining, mill-turn work, prototypes and production manufacturing. The company produces everything from individual precision components to complete mechanical assemblies.

Kalman has continued to invest in modern CNC technology, multi-axis machining, automation and manufacturing processes designed to improve quality and efficiency. Its equipment lineup includes recognizable machine tool brands such as Mori Seiki, Matsuura, Brother and Haas.

Despite that investment and growth, Kalman remains a family-owned business with a professional, team-oriented shop environment.

Located in Morgan Hill, the facility also offers an easy reverse commute for CNC machinists living elsewhere in Silicon Valley.

You'll also find:

  • Monday–Thursday 4×10 schedules
  • Three-day weekends
  • 100% of the employee health insurance premium paid on a Silver health plan
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Modern CNC equipment
  • Extensive 4- and 5-axis machining capabilities
  • High-precision work for demanding industries
  • Clean, professional work environment
  • Family-owned company culture

⚙️ What you'll be working on

Kalman manufactures precision components for industries where dimensional accuracy, consistency and part quality matter.

The shop handles both prototype and production machining, giving employees exposure to a variety of parts and manufacturing requirements.

Depending on your role, you'll work with CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers and may be responsible for:

  • Running precision machined components
  • Monitoring jobs from setup through completion
  • Making and adjusting offsets
  • Working with tooling, fixtures and indexers
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Inspecting your own parts
  • Using precision measuring equipment
