As a Machinist I, you'll join the Flex Machining team supporting both production and engineering work. ⚙️ What you'll be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, manual lathes, and waterjet machines with moderate supervision
  • Machine production and engineering parts while maintaining quality standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job documentation
  • Assist with machine setups, tooling changes, and fixture preparation
  • Perform preventative machine maintenance according to PM schedules
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment
  • Load and make basic edits to CNC programs when required
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
  • Follow engineering instructions, SOPs, and quality procedures
  • Work closely with experienced machinists and supervisors to continuously improve machining processes

✅ What we're looking for

Required

  • 2+ years of CNC and/or manual machining experience
  • Experience with CNC mills or CNC lathes
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Basic knowledge of G-Code, M-Code, or Mazatrol
  • Experience using precision measuring tools
  • Strong math skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

  • Setup experience
  • Waterjet machining experience
  • Experience machining composite materials
  • Basic CNC program editing experience
