This Week in CNC Machining Jobs – July 8, 2026
Every week we pull together a handful of CNC machining jobs that caught our attention. These aren't the only openings on hireCNC. They're simply a few we'd tell a machinist about if they called us looking for something new.
This week's featured employers offer everything from field machining and industrial repair to 5-axis programming, prototype work, and high-mix machining.
If you've been thinking about making a move, here are a few shops worth a look.

Atlas Machine & Supply Is Hiring Across Multiple Divisions
Atlas Machine & Supply continues to add machinists across its Louisville, KY and Beach City, TX operations.
Current openings include:
- CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift
- Grinder Machinist
- Traveling Field Machinist
- Plus several additional machining and industrial services roles
One thing we like about Atlas is the variety.
This isn't a shop where every day looks the same. Depending on the role, you could be working in precision machining, industrial repair, field service, grinding, or metrology. For machinists who like solving different problems, that's a nice change from repetitive production work.
The schedules are worth mentioning too. Some positions offer 3x12 shifts, giving you long weekends and even six consecutive days off every other week.
Relocation assistance is available for select positions, and the traveling field roles include per diem and plenty of overtime.

Harris & Bruno International Continues to Grow
If high-mix, low-volume machining is more your style, Harris & Bruno International in Roseville, California has a couple of strong openings.
They're currently hiring:
The shop runs Haas mills along with a Matsuura horizontal machining cell and programs with Mastercam and Fusion 360.
It's a clean, organized environment where machinists get to work on a variety of parts instead of running the same job all day.
Benefits include three weeks of PTO, a 401(k) match, and opportunities to continue growing your skills.

Empire Group Is Building Out Its 5-Axis Capability
Empire Group in South Attleboro, Massachusetts is looking for a 5-Axis CNC Programmer / Machinist.
If you've been wanting to get deeper into complex prototype machining, this one is worth a look.
The company focuses on defense and prototype work, so you'll spend your time solving new machining challenges rather than running production parts.
They're also investing in additional 5-axis equipment, giving experienced machinists an opportunity to grow into even more advanced programming work.
The shop uses SolidCAM, but machinists coming from Mastercam backgrounds should feel comfortable making the transition.
A few nice extras include heated floors, half-day Fridays, strong benefits, and a 4% 401(k) match.

Many include per diem along with significant overtime.

That's It for This Week
We say this almost every week because it's true: you don't have to be actively looking for a job to benefit from keeping an eye on the market.
A quick five-minute scan each week gives you a good feel for who's hiring, what shops are paying, and what kinds of opportunities are out there.
We'll be back next week with another roundup of CNC machining jobs from across the U.S. and Canada.
