The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Travel to customer sites to repair, modify, and install industrial equipment
• Set up and operate portable machining equipment in the field
• Perform machining, repair, alignment, and installation work in active industrial environments
• Assist with project planning, site evaluations, and custom tooling solutions
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and field service teams to execute machining projects safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot mechanical and machining challenges on-site
• Maintain compliance with all customer, company, and regulatory safety requirements

Machines, Tools & Equipment

You'll work with equipment such as:

Portable Machining Equipment:

• Portable mills
• Flange facers
• Portable boring bars
• Portable lathes

Additional Equipment:

• Welding equipment
• Precision measurement and alignment tools
• Field service and rigging equipment

Materials You'll Work With

• Carbon steel
• Alloy steel
• Stainless steel
• Industrial equipment and assemblies used in power generation, manufacturing, petrochemical, and heavy industry environments

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of machining and/or mechanical repair experience
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and mechanical issues independently
• Comfortable working in industrial environments and outdoor conditions
• Willingness to travel approximately 75%
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work around heavy equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred (Not Required):

• Previous field machining experience
• Welding experience
• CDL license
• DOT certification
• Experience supporting industrial maintenance or turnaround projects
