Qualifications Demonstrated experience in electrical and/or electronic and mechanical maintenance including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, and power transmissions. Demonstrated ability to follow all established safe work procedures including, but not limited to personal protection equipment, safety lockout/tag-out, confined space, and elevated work areas. Responsibilities <ul><li>Set up CNC lathes and mills for new operations.</li><li>Ensures operation of CNC machines and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on machining lathes and mills, motors, pneumatic tools, and production equipment; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.</li><li>Mechanic skills include, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.</li><li>Locates root cause of problems by using sound troubleshooting methods to ensure that permanent repairs can be made to minimize costly downtime.</li><li>Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair all types of machine control components including, but not limited to; motor drives, controllers, sensors, switches, breakers, overloads, power supplies, etc.</li><li>Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair all types of power transmission components including, but not limited to; drives, bearings, gears, belts, chains, sprockets, etc.</li><li>Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems including, but not limited to: tanks, pumps, valves, piping, cylinders, and controls.</li><li>Provide proper record keeping, documentation, and information for, but not limited to Machine files, repair files.</li><li>Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, technical parts manuals such as electrical and mechanical diagrams, gages, meters, calipers and other measuring tools.</li><li>Use all required hand and power tools including, but not limited to: drill, saw, torch, and jacks, as well as ladders, cranes, fork lift, and other maintenance equipment.</li></ul> This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during shift

CNC Machinist - 1st Shift

JOB SUMMARY Rotating Machinery Services, Inc (RMS Inc.) is seeking a qualified CNC Machinist to work 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm) and perform a variety of machining practices involved in turning, milling, drilling, threading operations, etc. on rotating equipment components (pumps, turbines, compressors, and more) and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li>Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting.</li><li>Ability and willingness to work around and use large propane / acetylene.</li><li>Ability to operate small lifts, pallet jacks and other lifting equipment (training will be provided on our specific equipment, but basic skills are required beforehand).</li><li>Advanced oral and written communication.</li><li>Advanced math skills to calculate tolerances and dimensions.</li><li>Must be able to read and understand Blueprints and G-Code.</li><li>Must be familiar with basic machining practices involved in turning, milling, drilling, threading operations.</li><li>Must be competent reading drawings and following instructions necessary to produce usable and saleable parts.</li><li>Must be proficient with the use of, the care of, and the calibration of all types of measuring devices (i.e., micrometers (OD and ID), dial calipers, dial indicators, etc.).</li><li>Must possess and provide basic tools required for the execution of the position of machinist.</li><li>Must be able to comply with all safety directives and programs established by the Company and or our customers.</li></ul> The above list of activities is not all inclusive but a general representation of the requirements of an RMS Inc.
