You will make an impact in this role by: <ul><li>Provide technical support to manufacturing departments.</li><li>Ensure that production assembly and test methods are optimized and are consistent in meeting our cost targets.</li><li>Develop assembly and detail tooling drawings, floor layouts, and manufacturing cells.</li><li>Check drawings and deign work as needed.</li><li>Assist Materials Department in the selection of vendors.</li><li>Establish product acceptance criteria through preproduction runs.</li><li>Work with vendors to ensure the most economical manufacturing processes and tooling.</li><li>Assist the Quality Department in the development of procedures and work instructions.</li></ul>Requirements To be considered for the Manufacturing Engineering role, you must have the following minimum qualifications: <ul><li>Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.</li><li>Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism such as formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc. in its most difficult phases.</li><li>Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.</li><li>Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determinations of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation, techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.</li><li>Knowledge of design software, database software, MS windows, and MS Word and Excel.</li><li>Able to read, write and comprehend English.</li><li>Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.</li><li>Blueprint interpretation.</li><li>Geometric dimensioning and tolerance is required. Familiar with computer-based system operation.</li><li>Knowledge of APQP, manufacturing and quality processes and capabilities.</li><li>Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.</li><li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, client, customers, and the general public.</li><li>Self-starter and Motivator: Able to develop effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers, and customers.</li><li>Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations.</li><li>Listens and gets clarification.</li><li>Responds well to questions.</li><li>Participates in meetings.</li><li>Writes clearly and informatively.</li><li>Presents numerical data effectively.</li><li>Able to read and interpret written information.</li></ul>Education and Experience: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology degree preferred.</li><li>1-3 years prior Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.</li></ul>Click the "apply" button to be considered for this opening!
