Position Summary: This is a hands on position that is responsible for preparing Production Dossiers for routine production lots that include sending, receiving and documenting program changes for the daily CNC machining process. Job Purpose As a CNC Programmer at Arwood Machine, Newburyport, MA, you will design, direct, and coordinate the production processes for our manufactured products. You will be involved in New Product Introduction and Continuous Improvement of existing products. You will strive to leverage new technology, advanced cutting techniques and automation equipment, and a host of LEAN manufacturing methods to improve quality and reduce cycle times and costs. The CNC Programmer will apply scientific principles to create processes to manufacture our components and sub-assemblies. You are a key team member in producing a wide range of products with a focus on cellular manufacturing and automation for a small subset of customers that have been identified by VulcanForms as keys to future success.
