Essential:<ol><li>Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840 D Controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, production requirements, plans and diagrams</li><li>Study machining instructions, routings, control plans, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequences of operations, complex machine setups, and tooling requirements</li><li>Select the appropriate tools, and materials to be used in preparation of cubic engine components</li><li>Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations</li><li>Check precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, fixed and telescoping gauges, templates and fixtures, and adjust according to quality control plans</li><li>Perform fine-tuning of tools/equipment through sample cuts and optimize the CNC program in regard to tool durability, preventing the collision of tools/equipment, program sequencing</li><li>Observe machines operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems</li><li>Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools. CNC Machine Operator (Off Shift)

The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is responsible for performing various tasks to operate, monitor, and perform limited preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is also responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting or changing tools as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Expectations: The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is expected to embody the ARC Products Global standards with respect to discipline, quality, punctuality, and safety, and to enforce those standards with subordinates. The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is expected to communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials. The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is expected to comply with all safety and health regulations. The CNC Set-up Tech Operator should have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Responsibilities The CNC Set-up Tech Operator operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and supervisor guidance and in a timely fashion.
