PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES You will be responsible to set up and operate a wide range of machine tools in order to produce machined components and finished fittings for shipment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES In addition to setting up and operating, the CNC Machinist must have the ability to work with various machine tools (lathe, mill, multi-spindle) and be able to produce any proven parts, generally to tolerances of .05 - .003 and 20 micro inch finish. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have the ability to: <ul> <li>Load and edit programs via "dry-run" simulation if CNC is being utilized.</li> <li>Make necessary offset adjustments to CNC programs prior to first piece production.</li> <li>Read and interpret work orders to select proper work center and identify required tooling and/or programs necessary to perform the operation.</li> <li>Obtain and install proper tooling such as jaws, chucks, faceplates, arbors, centers and cutting tools.</li> <li>Use various gauges and precision measurement instruments (i.e. CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc). </li> <li>Inspect machined parts and complete a statistical process control report.</li> <li>Assist manufacturing engineering in process improvements.</li> <li>Return tooling and report any difficulties with tooling or material.</li> <li>Read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and have sufficient shop math skills </li></ul>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required: <ul> <li>1-2+ years of machining experience</li></ul> Preferred: <ul> <li>Technical degree or relevant certification</li> <li>Mori Seiki, Hitachi Seiki, Okuma, Fanuc, G&amp;M Code</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORKING CONDITIONS &amp; DISCLAIMER Physical demands will include the capability of moving and lifting 40 lbs. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Measure work-piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.</li><li>Observe machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunctions.</li><li>Use hand and power tools as required.</li><li>Inspect previous work, as well as your own, to ensure quality established standards.</li><li>Remove burrs etc. for work piece.</li><li>Perform basic housekeeping of machine and machine area.</li><li>Meet a 95% or better production requirement.</li><li>Follow ISO 2000/ISO 13485 standards; Consistent use, promotion and adherence of ISO and its procedures throughout the organization and ensure continuous improvement to the ISO system.</li><li>Create and set-up jobs per specifications (new fixtures).</li><li>Perform first-piece inspections.</li><li>Submit first-piece inspections to QC.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.</li><li>Perform minor maintenance on machines.</li><li>Change program or offsets to obtain final dimensions.</li><li>Continually improve processes for most effective production.</li><li>In process documentation.</li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>2+ Years of experience working on Citizen CNC Swiss Machines. </li><li>Knowledge of set up, machine speeds, and feeds for materials and tooling selection.</li><li>Understand and can read, write and edit G&amp;M Codes.</li><li>Read and interpret drawing requirements, including the interpretation and meaning of GD&amp;T.</li><li>Must be able to work independently but also demonstrate the ability to work productively in a team environment.</li><li>Familiar with ISO requirements.</li><li>Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.</li><li>HS Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Two-year certificate in machine trades.</li></ul>
