CNC Machinist
Job Summary:
An experienced machinist responsible for all machine shop processes. Individual should have the knowledge, skills and experience related to the manufacturing of plastic. Machinist must be adept at handling the pacing and challenges inside a prototyping shop with both Manual and CNC machines.
**MUST LIVE CLOSE**
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Review drawings, instructions, models or samples to ensure accurate production
- Takes precise measurements for cutting or part modification
- Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of parts
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Troubleshoot machine errors and perform maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including knowledge of lathe and Fanuc controls
- Experience with tooling, power tools, and calipers for precise measurements
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles for efficient production processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Knowledge of CAM programming for CNC machines
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for quality control
- Previous exposure to plastics injection molding is a plus
