๐Ÿญ About Robroy Industries

Robroy Industries has been in the electrical products business since 1905, when Peter McIlroy started the Enameled Metals Company to make conduit in Etna, PA. More than a century later it is still privately held and family owned, now into its fourth generation of family leadership, which the company says puts it among the 4% of American companies to last that long under one family.

In 1961 Robroy produced the first PVC-coated conduit, Plasti-Bond, and in 1962 it opened its location in Gilmer, TX. Today the Raceway Division in Gilmer makes PVC-coated raceway (Plasti-Bond and Perma-Cote) used to house data and power lines in highly corrosive environments, along with Robroy Stainless conduit fittings and ROCKET RACK sanitary support systems used in FDA-regulated food, beverage, and pharmaceutical facilities.

Gilmer is in Northeast Texas, near Longview and between Dallas and Shreveport, and Robroy describes itself as one of the largest employers in the community. The company calls itself a family business with family values, and it lists achievement, appreciation, balance, and trust as its core values.
