Halco is hiring through hireCNC for its Swiss department and is open to two levels of experience: Swiss machinists who set up jobs and solve machining problems, and Swiss operators who run and monitor established production.

⚙️ What you'll be working on

At the machinist level, you run Swiss machines and establish or troubleshoot the production process: complete changeovers (tooling, collets, guide bushings where used), bar-feed setup, offsets, speeds and feeds, program edits and prove-outs, and first-piece approval. You also work on cycle time, tool life, setup time, consistency and scrap, and you train operators to run and inspect the job.

At the operator level, you run previously set-up machines, monitor cycles, alarms and output, replenish bar stock, replace inserts or tools using established procedures, make approved wear-offset adjustments, and do scheduled gauge checks with production records.

🛠️ Machines & technology

Swiss: Star Swiss-type CNC lathes with bar feeders. Experience with Star machines and LNS bar feeders is preferred.

Quality checks are part of every role at Halco: scheduled in-process checks with the appropriate gauges, production records, and reporting or containing nonconforming parts. At the machinist level, that includes verifying setup parts and supporting first-piece approval.
