Why This Role Exists

Tool & Die Systems (TDS) is continuing to grow its CNC machining capabilities across production, tooling, and assembly work.

This role exists to support a steady flow of new parts and programs — from prototype through production — with a strong focus on ownership, efficiency, and quality.

You’ll play a key role in taking parts from print to production in a shop that handles everything from machining to kitting and assembly.

---

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Program, set up, and run CNC parts from print to completion (cradle-to-grave)
  • Create fixtures, jaws, and workholding solutions for new parts
  • Prove out new programs and transition jobs into production
  • Populate and maintain tooling sheets for all new jobs
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, crashes, or process problems and get jobs back up and running
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency
  • Work closely with the team to maintain production flow and part quality

---

Machines, Controls & Software

You’ll work with equipment such as:

Machines:

  • Fadal CNC Mills
  • Bridgeport Machines
  • Neway Equipment
  • Brother CNC Machines

CAM Software:

  • Fusion 360
  • BobCAD-CAM
  • Mastercam

Inspection Tools:

  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Standard shop inspection tools

---

Materials You’ll Work With

  • Aluminum
  • Steel

---

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Strong programming, setup, and troubleshooting ability
  • Experience taking parts from print to production independently
  • Ability to create fixtures and workholding solutions
  • Comfortable optimizing processes and improving cycle times
  • Ability to read blueprints and work to tight tolerances

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience with Fadal, Bridgeport, Neway, or Brother machines
  • Experience with Fusion 360, BobCAD, or Mastercam
  • Experience in a job shop or high-mix environment

---

Why Machinists Like Working Here

Machinists choose Tool & Die Systems because:

  • You’re not just running parts — you own the full process
  • Variety of work (production, tooling, fixtures, assembly support)
  • Small team environment where your input actually matters
  • Opportunity to improve processes and make a real impact
  • Stable workload with a mix of prototype and production work

---

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Pay Range: $56,000 – $85,000 per year (DOE)

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Stable, full-time work environment
  • Opportunities to grow into more advanced programming and process roles
