Ellwood Crankshaft Group (ECG) is the world's leading manufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. 2nd Shift-AZ CNC Machinist II

Job Type Full-time Description Shift: 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM / Monday to Thursday (Fridays off) 5% shift differential Position/Job Summary Sets up and operates numerically controlled horizontal/vertical lathe/mill to perform machining operations (turning, boring, facing, threading) using castings, billet, and bar stock. Reads process sheets/work instructions and blueprints to determine machining to be performed. Essential Functions <ul><li>Sets up, programs, and operates equipment as directed.</li><li>Completes customer product requirements as associated with work orders.</li><li>Determines appropriate tooling/gages for part production/inspection.</li><li>Performs in-process inspections as required to ensure 100% quality product.</li><li>Identifies discrepancies in estimated setup and run times and resolves with supervisor.</li><li>Responsible for document and data control of programs, tool lists, and other related data with respect to job packets/travelers.</li><li>Responsible for cleaning and performing general maintenance on equipment as scheduled or required.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized work area in accordance with Company programs, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Responsible for stopping production if a part or process problem is identified and notifying supervisor or Quality personnel.</li><li>Initiates nonconforming product procedures when necessary.</li><li>Responsible for mentoring and/or training of other personnel as assigned.</li><li>Responsible for identification and elimination of any unnecessary waste.</li><li>Responsible to ensure production time and quantities are accurately clocked to jobs, together with shift clock in and clock out times for payroll purposes.
