Great opportunity at a leading manufacturer for the space, defense, aerospace and automotive markets✔️ Relocation assistance is offered!✔️ There is plenty of growth opportunity at this shop 🚀 📈Apply now to explore further!---Interested in automotive, aerospace, or alternative energy manufacturing?&nbsp; AST offers the chance to work on all three.&nbsp;We are seeking a senior equipment engineer to help keep our shop in top running shape.&nbsp;Job Description:This position will be responsible for learning about the ins and outs of all our manufacturing machines and helping to get a handle on how to efficiently keep things running.&nbsp; This individual must be self-motivated and unafraid to jump into the manufacturing floor and learn the intricacies of what works and doesn’t work.&nbsp; This individual must also be organized and a team player with good communication skills to work with both technicians and other engineers.&nbsp;This is an excellent career opportunity with a company experiencing ongoing growth in exciting fields.Job responsibilities include:<ul><li>Establishing and documenting critical spare parts for all machines.</li><li>Establishing a documented PM program for all machines.</li><li>Establish a machine monitoring system to track productivity and up-time.</li><li>Making training documentation for operators to perform simple PM tasks.</li><li>Communicating with maintenance team about important projects.</li><li>Participating in new machine procurement to understand how it will impact the manufacturing floor.</li><li>Identify inefficiencies in machine operation and implementing improvements.</li><li>Modifying machine parameters to fit production needs.</li><li>Participating in machine rebuild decisions and design.</li></ul>In addition, the candidate should be prepared to learn machine limitations and be able to participate in discussions about production planning.Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field from a four-year college or university.</li><li>Mid to Senior level: 3-5 years related experience.</li><li>Experience with CNC machine tools.</li><li>Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Ideal candidate would be familiar with a CMMS system and have exposure to CAD software, especially Solidworks)</li><li>Work experience in a manufacturing environment +++</li><li>Experience with Opto-22 or E2 JobBoss +++</li><li>Experience with PLC programming +++</li></ul>
