As a Plasma / Laser Cutter Operator, you will operate, run and maintain the CNC laser or plasma cutters to ensure continuous manufacturing productivity and material efficiency. Position Summary In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the CNC Machinist is responsible for programming and operating a CNC machine to build tools using 3D models. Reporting to the Machining Leader, the CNC Machinist ensures first time quality is a priority each and every time while also achieving time allowances for each job assigned. Key Responsibilities On a daily basis: <ul><li> Import, manipulate, and process 3D models;</li><li> Machine steel with close attention to health and safety requirements;</li><li> Use tools and machinery provided; program, setup and operate the CNC machine using 3-AXIS, and powermill 5Aixs.</li><li> Machine mold plates, components, cores and cavities; holding tolerances as tight as less than 0.0005;</li><li> Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments/probe to ensure first time quality;</li><li> Complete checklists and report deviations from specified tolerances;</li><li> Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs;</li><li> Utilize FCS toe clamping and chucks for setup and fixturing.</li></ul>As required: <ul><li> Assist in the repair of machine tools and parts, as needed;</li><li> Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations;</li><li> Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.;</li><li> Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.</li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li> High school diploma or equivalent is required.</li><li> Three (3) years of related experience operating CNC; </li><li> Three (3) years' experience programming CNC machines (3-AXIS, MasterCam software is an asset);</li><li> Ability to operate multiple machines at a time and work in a team environment;</li><li> Powermill experience</li><li> Ability to perform under pressure and work independently; </li><li> Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required;</li><li> Ability to ensure quality standards are met;</li><li> Strong attention to detail and analytical skills</li><li> Proficient in time management and communication skills</li></ul>What We Offer <ul><li> Competitive compensation</li><li> Comprehensive benefits</li><li> Performance-based rewards and recognition</li><li> Supportive and inclusive work environment</li><li> Career growth and development opportunities</li></ul>Join us at SyBridge Technologies and be a part of a team that's shaping the future of manufacturing! REQUIREMENTS: Be able to maintain CNC Universal Grinder. 1 year specific experience operating a CNC Universal Grinder. Be available to work rotating shifts/2 weeks 7 AM TO 3:20 PM then 2 weeks 3:20 PM TO 11:30 AM Mon to Fri Able to Lift 30 lbs Able to program a CNC Universal Grinder. Able to use a Micrometer. Able to read blueprints. Demonstrate ability to multi-task. Stand 8 hrs. a day. Preferred: Manufacturing background Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: <ul><li>Determine machining requirements, dimensional specifications, and set up requirements from programs, process sheets and blueprints;</li><li>Perform set up and operation of the CNC Universal Grinder(s); </li><li>Mount and dress the required Grinding Wheel(s);</li><li>Load CNC Program into machine control;</li><li>Set appropriate magnetic chuck or related jig to hold components securely for grinding operations;</li><li>Check blue prints to verify machining dimensions; use mounted grinding wheel to machine a product to the final desired dimension;</li><li>Ensure that all machining tasks are completed in accordance with specified run times;</li><li>Conduct minor preventative maintenance procedures as scheduled;</li><li>Complete minor troubleshooting as required;</li><li>Observes and listens to machine operation in order to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged grinding wheels when possible;</li><li>Notify Team Leader or Lead Hand when run times are incorrect and/or product will not meet time lines;</li><li>Report discrepancies to the appropriate department;</li><li>Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements;</li><li>Ensure ISO guidelines are followed; follow Job Instruction Sheets and Tag Procedures etc;</li></ul>Who we are: Hillenbrand (NYSE: HI) is a global industrial company that provides highly-engineered, mission-critical processing equipment and solutions to customers in over 100 countries around the world.
