Qualified candidates will have a strong background in electrical/electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, knowledge and skillset of geometrical alignment on precision machinery, robot and automation diagnostic experience, and minor mechanical knowledge and repair skills. Responsibilities <ul><li>Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems with production, quality and inspection equipment.</li><li>Be able to quickly isolate what the problem is and what is causing it</li><li>Utilize proper lock-out tag-out procedures</li><li>Decide what the permanent corrective action is and be able to implement that change</li><li>Be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings to identify parts needed to perform repair. Moving, positioning and commissioning of equipment.</li><li>Be able to read a layout blueprint and position a machine according to that blueprint, following all applicable OSHA and MIOSHA safety rules and building codes.</li><li>Understand workflow and 5S principles and be able to spot problems that may adversely affect these principles when placing machinery</li><li>Be able to work safely and well in a group environment moving heavy machinery</li><li>Be able to acquire licenses for equipment needed for the moving of machinery. Lift truck, man-lift, articulating lifts, cranes etc. Continuous Improvement implementations</li><li>Be able to assess the mechanical feasibility of a continuous improvement suggestions</li><li>Be able to make machine modifications to implement these improvements. Be able to fabricate minor machine parts, guards and other items as necessary</li><li>Be able to run basic machines need to fabricate parts. Welder, torches, mill, drill press, bandsaw, etc.</li><li>Be able to perform basic machine building and troubleshooting functions. Ability to repair and rebuild basic machine parts as necessary</li><li>Knowledge of basic machine principles necessary to repair/rebuild valves, cylinders, pumps, clutches etc.</li><li>Diagnose building problems and make occasional minor repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, dry wall, exterior structure and appliances.</li><li>Differentiate between mechanical, electrical, and setup issues and perform the necessary repairs to correct any problems or abnormalities.</li><li>Is familiar with and practice all required safety practices associated with the performance of their duties and recognize unsafe or dangerous conditions and be able to take appropriate measures to correct those conditions.</li><li>Remains current with new technologies that directly apply to the productivity and quality instruments that may be used.</li></ul> Requirements <ul><li>Be flexible and adaptable to a growing and changing high-demand environment.</li><li>Be able to make repairs and installations from ladders, scaffoldings, and platforms. Systems and equipment worked on can be in hard-to-reach places.</li><li>Stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in uncomfortable positions. CNC Maintenance Technician (Night Shift - 15% differential)

This includes performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CNC controlled machining equipment and supporting facility maintenance needs. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Essential Duties: The following is a list of the general duties performed in this position. It is not meant to be an exhaustive list. 1. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on CNC mills, lathes and other equipment as assigned. 2. Perform unscheduled maintenance on CNC mills, lathes and other equipment to minimize machine down time, including assisting in diagnosis of equipment issues. 3. Perform facility maintenance. 4. Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment 5. Perform data collection and communication tasks in Unipoint and other applications. 6. Safely operate a forklift to move equipment and material within the facility. 7. Perform all tasks and maintain work stations to 5S organization and housekeeping standards. 8. Comply with PAC policy and procedures. Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer skilled trades courses or curriculum. 2. 2 to 5 years minimum successful prior essential duty related experience, preferably in a CNC machining environment, including work such as mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagnosis and repair. 3. Specific knowledge of CNC machine tool repair, including 4th/5th axis and electronics with brands common to PAC (Fanuc &amp; Haas controllers). 4. Basic facility maintenance knowledge. Ability to read schematics. 5. Ability to read/write English . 6. Ability to perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 7. Michigan Driver License and Insurable Driving Record.
