Position SummaryThe CNC Machinist III&nbsp;produces machined parts by operating, setting up computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.  May be required to perform some programming. CNC Milling Machinist

1st - 6:00am - 2:45pm | 2nd - 2:30pm - 11:00pmKey Responsibilities<ul><li>Set-up and troubleshoot machines to the Manufacturing Set-Up Specifications and submit first article pieces to QA. Install assigned tooling, mechanical tooling, and load raw material. Begin running machine to produce FAI pieces.</li><li>Inspect and measure machined parts/components to verify conformance to specification. Use a variety of inspection equipment to measure parts to ensure conformance to print</li><li>Monitor all cutting/lubrication fluids in the machines. Add oil to the machine reservoir when required.</li><li>Monitor all machine accessories during the machining operation. Replace worn machine accessories such as inserts, blades, drills, taps, end mills, drills, etc</li><li>Follow standard operating procedures for completing each work order. At the completion of each job, tear down the machine, and prepare for the next set-up per work instructions. • Chip maintenance. Spin/dump chips as required.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>2+ years working on Davenport manual CNC machines or equivalent.</li><li>Davenport Model-B maintenance and set-up experience preferred.</li><li>Mechanically inclined and comfortable utilizing tools.</li><li>Make a layout. Pick cams, gears, surface speeds. Sharpen tools, setup machine, check parts. Troubleshoot minor issues.
