The weekend shift plays a key role in maintaining machine uptime, meeting customer delivery schedules, and supporting long-term workload stability. This position is critical to consistent, high-quality production.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, turning centers, and mill-turn machines
• Load, run, and edit CNC programs at the machine
• Select tooling, establish offsets, and verify workholding
• Run high-mix precision machining jobs
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain part quality
• Troubleshoot machining and process issues during production
• Work closely with other machinists to ensure smooth weekend operations

Machines, Controls & Equipment

You’ll work with equipment such as:

• Machines: CNC lathes, turning centers, mill-turn machines
• Controls: Mazak (Mazatrol) and Fanuc
• Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges, and standard shop inspection equipment

Materials You’ll Work With

• Aluminum
• Steel
• Stainless steel
• Other production metals as required

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or mill-turn machines
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, and setups
• Comfortable inspecting parts and holding tight tolerances
• Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented

Preferred (Not Required):

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience with Mazak and/or Fanuc controls
• High-mix or job shop machining experience
