CNC Machinist – Automotive Performance Parts

The CNC Multi-Axis Machinist will produce machined parts by setting up and operating 4 and 5-axis CNC machine tools. &nbsp;This is a Mazak house. Machines you will primarily be responsible for include:<ol><li>Mazak Variaxis i-700 with Smooth Control</li><li>Mazak Integrex i-250H-S &amp; i-200H-S with Smooth Control</li></ol>Pay💲 💰 &nbsp;: $30 - $38 per hour&nbsp;This is a hireCNC approved job. Impressive company with growth opportunities for machinists. 📈&nbsp;---Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Manufacture parts with 4 and 5-axis CNC machines by using industry standard machining techniques and practices while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.</li><li>Plan machining from work schedules and engineering drawings and CAD. &nbsp;</li><li>Work independently or with other Machine Shop staff to determine work holding, tool holding, and tools required for jobs.</li><li>Anticipate tooling and material needs, check inventory, and place orders with supervisor as needed.</li><li>Directly program using Mazatrol or load CAM program to CNC machines.</li><li>Manufacture parts using conventional machining equipment (manual machines, saws, etc.) and other CNC equipment as required.</li><li>Maintain and update manufacturing information as per company directive.</li><li>Maintain safe operations in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.</li><li>Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements following manufacturer’s instructions and standards set forth by management. &nbsp;When necessary, repair machines and equipment and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance. &nbsp;</li><li>Use effective oral and written communication to include proper programming, set-up sheets and suggestions for improvement.</li><li>Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership and personal accountability for job done.</li><li>Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly according to company standards.</li><li>Arrive on time for scheduled work, work overtime and weekends as necessary.</li><li>Be dependable and professional, act with integrity, work effectively with others, take initiative, and be willing to apply new knowledge and skills.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<ul><li>High school machining program and / or post-secondary technical school with earned diploma, certificate, or degree in machining trade training preferred.</li><li>5 years minimum experience operating 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centers and mill-turn machines. &nbsp;Mazak Mazatrol experience is a plus.</li><li>Must be able to work independently and possess strong CNC setup, operating, and machine G-coding abilities.</li><li>Experienced with precision measuring instruments, both digital and analog.</li><li>Can read and understand drawings and specifications with above average understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning (GD&amp;T).</li><li>Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment used in CNC working environment.</li><li>Must possess above average math skills.</li><li>Must possess basic computer skills.</li><li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs.</li><li>Must be able to adapt to frequent change, delays or unexpected events with a positive and constructive attitude.</li><li>Must be willing and able to work flexible hours due to changing work schedules and demands.</li><li>Must possess strong English communication skills (oral and written) as it relates to the job.</li><li>Must be able to produce parts to deadlines, accurate to the print and with a quality finish.</li></ul>
