We are building a team that matches the level of our equipment. &nbsp;The OpportunityWe are hiring a Quality Inspector to support our growing CNC operation and help ensure world-class part quality for our customers. In this role, you will work on the shop floor and in the quality lab, performing in-process and final inspections, developing control plans, and supporting ISO 9001:2015 requirements. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Customer Service to keep parts in spec, launches on track, and customers confident in our process. If you want to be part of a next-generation CNC shop built on advanced CNC machine technology, automation, CMM inspection, and rigorous quality, this is the role for you. What You Will Do &nbsp;<ul><li>Perform in-process, first piece, and final inspections on precision machined components.</li><li>Create, update, and maintain in-process quality control plans and inspection documentation.</li><li>Support ISO 9001:2015 activities, including audits, corrective actions, and documentation.</li><li>Use a variety of inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, optical devices, and CMM or automated gaging where applicable.</li><li>Interpret blueprints with GD&amp;T and verify that parts meet dimensional and cosmetic requirements.</li><li>Support manufacturing process control, including capability checks, SPC, and reaction plans.</li><li>Assist with quality-related customer documentation such as PPAP, APQP, and control plans.</li><li>Help drive continuous improvement around scrap, rework, and customer complaint</li></ul> What You Bring<ul><li>Bachelor’s, Associate, or Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in precision machining quality.</li><li>Experience supporting quality in a precision machining environment that uses advanced CNC equipment, including Swiss CNC machines.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working on the shop floor with machinists and operators.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&amp;T.</li><li>Knowledge of ISO standards and core quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, LEAN, and basic project launch processes.</li><li>Solid technical writing skills for control plans, work instructions, and reports.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</li><li>Ability to take initiative, work with limited direction, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Must reside within the greater Cedar Rapids, IA area or be prepared to relocate.</li></ul> Pre-employment physical and drug screens are required.
