
Tool Crib Attendant / Tooling Technician
We are a growing precision CNC machine shop specializing in multi-axis turning centers and swiss- type lathes serving all different industries including semiconductor, aerospace, defense, and other high-precision industries.
Our equipment includes Citizen, Miyano, Nakamura , Eurotech, and other CNC platforms.
We're looking for an organized, motivated individual to manage our tooling inventory and help keep production running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize the tool crib.
- Issue and receive cutting tools, holders, inserts, collets, and shop supplies.
- Maintain tooling inventory and reorder consumables as needed.
- Assemble and preset tooling for upcoming machine setups.
- Verify tools are complete, clean, and ready for production.
- Coordinate with setup personnel and supervisors to ensure tooling is available before jobs begin.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming tooling and supplies.
- Label and organize tooling locations for quick retrieval.
- Monitor tooling usage and identify worn or damaged tooling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with miscellaneous production support duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC tooling, inserts, holders, drills, end mills, taps, reamers, and measuring tools.
- Ability to read basic tooling documentation and part prints.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers for inventory tracking and purchasing.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
