Scope:
Produces machined parts by programming, setup, and operation of CNC Swiss-lathes. Maintains strict compliance to the internal quality standard, customer quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Must have good social skills and be able to work well with a passionate team.
- Program, set up, and optimize machining processes on Swiss CNC lathes with live tooling.
- Use sound practices to select cutting tools, determine optimal cutting parameters, and develop toolpath strategies that ensure part dimensions are produced within tolerance and with a high degree of repeatability.
- Efficiently utilize advanced CAD/CAM software; Autodesk PartMaker and/or SolidWorks
- Interpret part drawings and specifications, including geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T) callouts.
- Troubleshoot production machining processes to identify root causes of part defects and implement process changes that improve overall quality, and/or improve through put.
- Aide in the procurement of job supplies.
- Aide in the implementation of Engineering Change Orders and Correction Action / Preventive Action processes.
- Guide and support team members when they need support with programming, setups, troubleshooting and the operating of CNC equipment.
Experience/Education:
- High School Education or 10+ years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Minimum two years in a machine shop environment
- Experience in Swiss-type CNC machines required
- Experience with Fanuc controls preferred

Minimal. Occasional customer visits and technical training workshops
