This role exists due to continued growth in aerospace and defense prototype programs requiring high-precision, low-volume, flight-critical components.
At H&H Machining Center, this position is essential to supporting complex machining work where speed, accuracy, and consistency directly impact aerospace and defense program timelines. You will help deliver mission-critical parts where failure is not an option.
The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (3, 4, and 5-axis)
- Program parts from scratch using CAM software and G-code
- Machine prototype and low-volume precision aerospace components
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
- Select tooling, set offsets, and establish machining setups
- Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot toolpaths, offsets, and machining issues
- Optimize feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies for quality and efficiency
- Support AS9100D quality requirements and ITAR compliance
- Collaborate with engineering, programming, and quality teams
Machines, Controls & Software
You’ll work with equipment such as:
- Machines: CNC Mills (3, 4, 5-axis), CNC Lathes
- CAM Software: Mastercam (preferred), Fusion 360
- Programming: G-code required
- Inspection Tools: Micrometers, calipers, CMM, precision measurement instruments

What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 7+ years CNC machining experience (mills and lathes)
- Strong CAM programming ability (Mastercam preferred, Fusion 360 acceptable)
- Ability to program parts from scratch
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Experience holding tight tolerances (±0.0005” or better)
- Ability to set up, run, and troubleshoot CNC jobs independently
- Must be a U.S. Person (ITAR requirement)
Preferred:
- Aerospace or defense machining experience
- AS9100D environment experience
- Multi-axis (4/5-axis) machining experience
- Prototype or low-volume production experience
