Mill Machinist
CNC Mill Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Elkhart Region. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include selecting appropriate tooling, loading materials, performing machine adjustments, and verifying dimensions using measuring instruments. The CNC Machinist will inspect finished parts for quality, troubleshoot issues with machinery or programs, and maintain a clean and safe work area. Collaboration with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to optimize machining processes and meet production schedules is also expected.
Qualifications
· Candidates should possess the ability to read and understand G and M code
· Candidates should possess strong skills in Machine Operation (Haas) and Machinery handling.
· Candidates should possess solid Machining skills and knowledge for part production and one offs.
· Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including measurement, inspection, and documentation.
· Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CNC programs.
· Familiarity with common measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and shop math.
· Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain an organized work environment.
· Previous CNC machining experience in aerospace, medical, or similar precision industries is beneficial.
