These expert-level roles have a high degree of autonomy to include determining the best run sequence of work orders for achieving production schedule.
Expectations and Qualifications:
- Expertise in set-up, operation, and troubleshooting to consistently achieve production rates quality standards, and production schedule.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical/engineering drawings, GD&T, process documentation, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances and part requirements.
- Expertise in use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gages and other measuring instruments.
- Experienced with tooling, hand tools, power tools, and cutting techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in fixturing and equipment setup.
- Tool grinding and sharpening experience. OD/ID grinding experience.
- Capable of guiding/coaching and/or training less experienced Machinists, Machinist Trainees, and Machine Operators.
- Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently. Reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
