What you'll be doing

• Operate and set up CNC Swiss machines within tolerance, following work instructions, machine programs, and engineering drawings
• Machine a variety of parts and metals where very close tolerances must be held
• Change dull tooling and make minor offset adjustments for tool wear
• Inspect your own work with a range of measuring equipment and interpret the readings
• Run multiple machines and meet productivity targets
• Perform routine machine maintenance from the daily checklist and hand finishing
• Complete job routers and records in line with good manufacturing and documentation practices
• Identify problems and escalate them to the team leader or supervisor

What we're looking for

Required

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience, including CNC Swiss
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to operate, set up, and maintain a CNC Swiss machine, and to run multiple machines
• Ability to follow work instructions and read technical drawings
• Solid math and measuring skills
• A proven record of quality, on-time production runs and a commitment to safety
• Able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds

Preferred

• Associate degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining, or a machinist apprenticeship
• Experience working in a production environment
