What you'll be doing

• Set up and run CNC lathes for turning, boring, and threading, including ACME and V-threads
• Set up workholding, including manual 4-jaw chuck setups
• Machine large, heavy components to tight tolerances
• Inspect your own parts with micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers
• Work independently and adapt quickly to the parts and setups in front of you

Machines, controls and software

CNC lathes with Mazak/Mazatrol and/or Doosan/Fanuc controls. Experience on either control family is fine.

What we're looking for

Required

• Strong CNC lathe setup and operating experience
• Turning, boring, and threading experience, including ACME and V-threads
• Experience on Mazak/Mazatrol and/or Doosan/Fanuc controls
• Manual 4-jaw chuck setup experience
• Ability to inspect your own parts with micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers
• Comfortable machining large, heavy components and working to tight tolerances

Preferred

• CNC programming experience
• Oil and gas machining experience
