Why this job is worth considering

RAM Welding is hiring 2 experienced CNC Programmer/Machinists to take parts from print to finished product in Lubbock. This is a growing CNC department inside an established, owner-led shop that's built its reputation over more than a decade on precision oilfield welding and fabrication work.

What you'll be doing

  • Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software and conversational or G-code programming as appropriate
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions
  • Select tooling, workholding, speeds, and feeds for a wide range of materials
  • Machine tight-tolerance oilfield and general industrial components in prototype, short-run, and repeat-production quantities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and program issues while maintaining quality and productivity
  • Work with management and shop personnel to improve cycle times, repeatability, and manufacturing processes
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
