The Work You’ll Be Doing

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (3, 4, and 5-axis)
  • Program parts from scratch using Mastercam or Fusion 360
  • Load, run, and edit CNC programs at the machine
  • Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding setups
  • Machine prototype and low-volume aerospace components
  • Hold tight tolerances (±0.0005” or better)
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspection
  • Use micrometers, calipers, and CMM for inspection
  • Troubleshoot toolpaths, offsets, and machining issues
  • Optimize feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters
  • Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other machinists

Machines, Controls & Software

  • Machines: CNC Mills (3, 4, 5-axis), CNC Lathes
  • Controls: Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol
  • CAM Software: Mastercam (preferred), Fusion 360
  • Programming: G-code (machine-level edits required)
  • Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, CMM

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 7+ years CNC machining experience
  • Experience with mills and lathes
  • Strong CAM programming skills (Mastercam or Fusion 360)
  • Ability to program parts from scratch
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency
  • Strong understanding of setups, tooling, and offsets
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances and inspect parts
  • U.S. Person status (ITAR requirement)
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Multi-axis machining experience (4/5-axis)
  • Aerospace or defense machining experience
  • Familiarity with AS9100 environments
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazatrol controls
  • Vocational or technical training
