CNC Operator/Programmer
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machining tools, blueprint reading, and measurement will ensure the highest quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Set up vertical mill CNC machines using detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Program CNC equipment utilizing G-code, M-code, and CAM software to produce complex parts with precision.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical specifications to ensure accurate machining operations.
- Operate other grinding machines such as CNC surface grinder, Blanchard surface grinder, ID/OD Lathe grinder.
- Conduct machine calibration, tooling changes, and machine setup to optimize production efficiency.
- Perform quality inspections using measurement instruments like calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
- Troubleshoot machining issues promptly, adjusting parameters or tooling as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper handling of power tools and machinery.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on CNC programming improvements using CAD software like Mastercam and CAD tools for design interpretation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist working with vertical mill CNC machines, preferably with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with CNC G-code programming is essential.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and understanding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for precise measurements.
- Familiarity with CAM programming software for efficient toolpath creation and optimization.
- Mechanical knowledge of machining tools, measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers), grinders, bore gauges, and power tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform manual machining tasks when necessary.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine offsets.
- Experience with measurement techniques related to quality control in manufacturing environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a commitment to producing high-quality parts consistently.

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
